Description

The Castello di Perno Barolo Castelletto 2017 is a classic expression of the Nebbiolo grape from the Piedmont region of Italy. It is made from grapes grown in the Castelletto vineyard, which is situated at an altitude of around 350 meters above sea level in the commune of Monforte d’Alba. The wine is aged for 18 months in 50Hl oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in the bottle before release. It is a full-bodied and complex wine, with notes of red fruit, licorice, and spices on the nose, and a rich, tannic structure on the palate. It is a wine that will benefit from further cellaring, but can also be enjoyed now with the right food pairing.

Castello di Perno is a beautiful estate situated in the heart of the Barolo wine region in Piedmont, Italy. It is a historic castle that has been beautifully restored to its former glory, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and hills. The estate produces high-quality Barolo wines, known for their elegance, complexity, and ageability. The winemaking philosophy here is deeply rooted in the terroir, and the focus is on producing wines that truly express the unique characteristics of the land. Castello di Perno is a must-visit destination for wine lovers who want to experience the best that Piedmont has to offer.
