At just 29 years old, Heidi Bridenhagen became MacRostie Winery’s third winemaker in 2013, aiming to elevate its reputation for cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. With mentorship from Steve MacRostie, Heidi revamped the Pinot Noir program and pioneered the sparkling wine initiative, Clockwise. Under her leadership, MacRostie earned over 300 scores of 90 points or higher, securing the title of “Best Overall Winery” by San Francisco Magazine in 2017. Heidi’s diverse background, including global travels and cellar work in New Zealand, influences MacRostie’s expanded lineup of vineyard-designate Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, showcasing the winery’s signature balance and vibrant flavors. Beyond winemaking, Heidi spearheads sustainability efforts, making MacRostie one of California’s Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing-accredited wineries.
