Chateau Phelan-Segur, a prestigious Saint-Estephe winery, was established in the early 19th century and boasts a splendid view of the Gironde estuary.The estate’s 70-hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the appellation and is divided into four distinct plots. The vines have an average age of 35 years and grow on a clayey gravel soil.Regarding the 2015 vintage, a cool winter caused a delay in budburst, but a mild spring allowed for a rapid and even flowering period. July was hot and dry, while August and September were cooler with sporadic storms.
